Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your 2Chat account and associated personal data from inside the app or from this external web page.

In-App Deletion

Open 2Chat and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Me › Settings › Account and security › Delete Account and read the notice.
Read the confirmation notice, then tap Delete to confirm.

Deletion is permanent: your account is disabled and its data is physically deleted from our database immediately; it cannot be restored. Uploaded files, service-provider records, backups, and limited retained records are handled as described below.

Web or Email Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app, send an email to 2chat@aswat1304.com with the subject "2Chat Account Deletion Request". Include enough information for us to identify and verify the account, such as your 2Chat user ID, the Google account email you sign in with, nickname, country or region, and a contact email. Do not send passwords or payment-card information.

What We Delete

As soon as you confirm, we permanently delete, not just anonymize: your profile, sign-in identifiers, chat and room messages, rooms and room settings, follows, blocks and other relationships, gifts sent and received, wallet balance (remaining coins are forfeited), order history, devices and push tokens, and references to files you uploaded. Uploaded files are removed from object storage asynchronously, with retries if removal fails. We also erase your profile in Tencent Cloud Chat (nickname and profile photo); chat history kept by Tencent expires automatically under Tencent's retention period. Database backups that still contain your data expire within 30 days.

What We Keep

Only three things remain: a deletion receipt with the request ID, times, and a one-way hash of your user ID (no other personal information); reports other users filed about you, which stay with those users' reports; and logs of actions our staff took. Google Play keeps its own purchase records under Google's policies.

Processing Time

We normally acknowledge deletion requests within a reasonable time after receiving enough information to verify the account. Complex requests, safety investigations, or legal retention requirements may take longer.
